‘Tis the season for all things heart-filled, red, pink, sweet, and chocolate! I must say, it is really fun to have a child old enough to do all the valentine festivities at school. Last week the kids made valentine cards for us (the parents), then took a field trip to the post office and mailed them! Here’s what we found in our mailbox:
Yesterday the class had their party, complete with heart-shaped sandwiches, heart-shaped jigglers, and individually crafted valentine bags in which to deposit the cards for their classmates. Here the ones that London and I worked on together:
The inspiration came from a similar idea from Martha Stewart, and I must say I’m please with the way they turned out. Still to come: my surprise gift for my husband and conversation heart cookies. Happy heart-ing!
