Before the session
Once you’ve decided to move forward in booking, we’ll choose a date and you’ll receive an invoice for the deposit you can pay securely online. I’ll also email you a questionnaire to get to know you better and learn your goals for the shoot. Then we’ll set up a pre-session consultation where we will discuss the look, feel, and concept of your shoot to guide your decision about location(s) and styling. This is usually a phone call, but can include an in-person visit to your home or Facetime/Skype.
The Session
If you want to feel something when you look at the picture, you need to feel something when it’s shot.
As a lifestyle photographer I capture emotion and document relationships. You don’t just want to see what your family looks like–you want to see what your love feels like. To achieve this, I’ll facilitate little scenes and interactions between you. I’ll watch for the moments of connection that unfold and capture them. Your kids will love my corny jokes and games we play as I click away.

Afterward
About 3 weeks after your session, your images will be available to view and purchase in an online gallery (here’s an example). You can sit in your PJ’s and download your pretty pictures instantly!

If you’re local (SF/peninsula), we can set up an in-home viewing session for an additional fee. I’ll come over and show you your images, frame and album samples, and help you select your favorites.
